Arrowhead Central Credit Union Placed into Conservatorship

(San Francisco, CA) The Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) today announced that Arrowhead Central Credit Union was placed into conservatorship by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). Arrowhead Central Credit Union is a federally insured, state-chartered credit union based in San Bernardino.

Arrowhead Central Credit Union remains open, operating and serving its members. Credit Union member funds are federally insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund up to at least $250,000. Members with questions about their insurance coverage can contact NCUA’s Share Insurance Call Center at 1-800-755-1030, Press 1, Monday through Friday during normal business hours.

The NCUA will announce the conservatorship of Arrowhead Central Credit Union in a press release, which will be available on their Web site at www.ncua.gov.

DFI’s mission is to protect and serve California’s citizens through the effective regulation and supervision of financial institutions licensed by the Department. The DFI is responsible for administering state laws regulating state-licensed financial institutions: banks, credit unions, industrial banks, trust companies, offices of foreign banks, issuers of travelers checks and payment instruments (money orders), and money transmitters.
