Enforcement Action Against Coinbase Staking Rewards Program: The DFPI issued an action against Coinbase Global, Inc. and Coinbase, Inc. for violations of securities laws with its crypto asset staking rewards program. The action is the result of a multi-state task force of 10 state securities regulators led by California.
Silvergate Bank Liquidation: The DFPI issued a joint consent order with the Federal Reserve Board of Governors to facilitate the implementation of its voluntary liquidation plan, which will include full repayment of all deposits at the Bank.

Cash Central: The DFPI has received information about an online advance fee scam. The imposter website is not associated with the California-licensed “CCFI Funding, LLC, DBA, Cash Central, Insight Capital.” The imposter may be offering fraudulent consumer loans and/or deferred deposit transactions.
