Action Against Credova for Hidden Junk Fees–DFPI announced that it has issued a consent order against Credova Financial, LLC (Credova) for allowing third-party servicers to charge inadequately disclosed convenience fees for installment contracts originated on its online platform. The order is part of an effort to protect consumers from hidden “junk fees” using the California Consumer Financial Protection Law (CCFPL).
