SpreadandBid.com – Order Page (Fraudulent Platform)

Description

A California consumer reports their experience with a website called SpreadandBid.com, described as a copy‑trading platform that allegedly featured the trades of a widely‑known crypto trader. The consumer transferred funds to the platform to invest.

The platform displayed daily profits of roughly 12% of the consumer’s initial investment and showed a steadily increasing account balance. Encouraged by these returns, the consumer also had their children deposit all their savings into separate accounts on the platform. Shortly afterward, someone contacted the consumer on Discord claiming that the platform’s withdrawal rules had changed, and that the family would need to pay commissions before any withdrawals would be permitted.

The platform then demanded extensive personal information, including bank account login credentials, account and routing numbers, and home and bank addresses, before it would release the consumer’s investment. Despite providing the information, the consumer has not recovered any of their funds and the platform is no longer operational. All told, the victim and family lost nearly $280,000 on the platform.
