SUMMARY:2025 Los Banos Veterans Stand Down
DESCRIPTION:Local veterans in need of assistance will find a one-stop hub of support at the 2025 Los Banos Veterans Stand Down. This event offers free resources\, services\, and supplies to veterans facing housing instability\, unemployment\, or other challenges. \nParticipants will receive free meals\, hygiene kits\, clothing\, health screenings\, mental health support\, housing referrals\, and access to veterans benefit officers (VSOs) who can assist with disability claims\, VA enrollment\, and pension benefits. Representatives from Merced County Veterans Services\, Merced County WorkNet\, local shelters\, and nonprofit organizations will be present to provide job assistance\, counseling\, and legal guidance. \nWhile the event is open to all veterans\, the primary focus is on those who are unhoused\, at risk of homelessness\, or experiencing difficulty reintegrating into civilian life.
