Re: Establishment of Banking Facility at ________

Dear M ________:

This is in response to your letter of ________.

You have requested that the State Banking Department interpose no objection to the proposal of the ________ (the “Bank”) to establish and operate a banking facility at ________. We understand that the closest bank is approximately seven miles from ________. We further understand that numerous California banks were solicited by the Air Force to establish a facility at ________, but that no bids were received. The Bank would serve only Air Force personnel, and services would be offered only on ________. Moreover, the Bank would only accept deposits and cash checks. The Bank would act as a loan production office for customers desiring loans, by forwarding credit applications from the ________ facility to the Bank’s main Texas office for processing.

Under the circumstances described above, the State Banking Department will interpose no objection to the Bank’s proposal to establish a military banking facility at ________.
