We serve all Californians, with a special focus on these vulnerable communities:

• Older Californians on average own more assets but possess fewer digital skills, a combination that leaves them vulnerable to fraudsters. We offer workshops, one-on-one consultations and a whole lot more so our seniors have the tools they need to spot scams and protect their assets.
• New Americans and non-English speakers are too often victimized by predatory lenders and financial fraudsters. Our Targeted Outreach Team helps folks overcome language and cultural barriers that can stand in the way of financial security. • Veterans and active military can make prime targets for fraudsters, which can put the people who protect us at financial risk. Active military are often young, move frequently and have only limited communication among tight social circles. Veterans have access to generous pensions and military benefits. Our team arms military members with the insights and resources they need to stay safe and flourish. • Students are targeted by shady dealers who know many folks in school may be handling their finances independently for the first time and may lack experience in recognizing fraud. Students also rely heavily on digital platforms for banking, shopping, and social interactions, making them prime targets for online scams, phishing attacks, and identity theft. Our Targeted Outreach Team keeps Californians informed, alert and up-to-date with fraud prevention education, financial literacy workshops, one-to-one consultations, educational resources and community partnerships. We help our vulnerable Californians:
