Description

Five California residents report on their experience with the crypto asset trading platform Lencoin, which operated on the website www.h5.lencoin.vip. The residents all learned about Lencoin from visiting the website, wealthtutor.com, where a person named “Clark” discussed opportunities to make big profits by investing in crypto coins and using trade signals through Telegram or Whatsapp groups. Clark directed the residents to open accounts on Lencoin to make the trades, and the residents subsequently transferred their cryptocurrency to Lencoin. The residents believed their accounts were rapidly growing but were met with various excuses when they tried to withdraw funds such as the transaction being flagged for a “money laundering check”. Some residents were directed to transfer additional fund as a prerequisite to withdrawal. The residents did not recover their invested funds. Both www.h5.lencoin.vip and wealthtutor.com are no longer operational.
