A California consumer reports that the website Presalexaitoken.com offered a 50% bonus in XAI coins in exchange for Bitcoin. The victim sent 0.1 BTC over the site. When the victim tried to claim the bonus, the site showed an automated response that read “Our team is offline.” The victim has not been able to recover their Bitcoin.

This is not to be confused with the gaming-based digital asset, XAI, developed by Offchain Labs.
