Strike Chain Inc – Donation Receipt (Fraudulent Trading Platform)

A California resident reports being invited to an online investment group called the Summit Wealth Investment Education Foundation by “Pedro” and “Emily” who promised they could earn profits trading in crypto assets if they opened an account on the crypto asset trading platform Strike Chain Inc. Following Pedro and Emily’s instructions, the victim opened an account on the platform and signed an investment agreement. The resident transferred money to platform and began trading. Once the trading period in the agreement had ended, the resident received a “Donation Receipt Certificate” from the platform, claiming that $85,000 of the profits had been donated to a foundation. But when the victim tried to withdraw the remaining profits, they received a notification stating that funds could not be released as the platform was under “MSB investigation”. All told, the victim lost $145,000. The website is no longer operational.
